Final Fantasy inspired FOTD (Sephiroth - FFVII)

"Tell me what you cherish most. Give me the pleasure of taking it away."

I've had a crappy, crappy day. Sick, tired, so much to do, too much going on & not nearly enough time for it all. I've been working on a project for a makeup company (shhh, it's a secret :P) and when I finished working on some of that, I still felt like I wanted to do something. The thing with doing makeup, is that it helps me relax; I find it an outlet for relieving stress. I am so focused on executing what I have pictured in my head that nothing else matters.

So I sat myself down & thought of this hot piece of a villain, Sephiroth. While I'm doing this series, I am not looking at photos while I do it...just picturing what I think resembles what I want. While the Kingdom Hearts looks were inspired a case, this is the first of my series to be inspired by an actual character. What I thought of was a simple colour scheme with what I'm calling a "sleek" look to it. Not sure exactly what I even mean by that, but when I think of Sephiroth, I think of this silver haired, quick on his feet, better watch the F out kinda guy. I winged it out because of his wing...does this make sense? Hahah, probably not; it's 4 am & I am in desperate need of sleep :P

Anyways. Enough with the babble, here's what I came up with for this silver fox, Sephiroth. There is so much I would have changed, done differently. I could NOT fix the crease on one eye while I had difficulties with the wing on the other. Ohhh well ;D! I still liked it for the most part.

SO TIREDDDDD D:

What I used;
NYX Skin Tone eyeshadow base
Ben Nye Silver Lumiere Creme Colour on inner lid
Inglot #447 on inner lid
NYX Black Bean jumbo eye pencil
MAC Typographic eyeshadow
MUFE #28 or is it 08? (black) eyeshadow
Sugarpill Tako eyeshadow
Sugarpill Tiara loose eyeshadow (used wet)
MAC MSF Natural in Light (to highlight)
Urban Decay Gunmetal 24/7 liner on lower lash line
Inglot #447 & MAC Typographic on lower lash line
MAC Brun eyeshadow on brows

Lots & lots of foundation (3 layers, AAAGHHH!!!!)
Rice powder

MAC Naked Liner lipliner
MAC C-Thru lipglass

Yay, happy I finally have that one done & posted. I'm not too sure what I'll do next, but Final Fantasy Dissidia 2 comes out soon & I'm sure that will inspire me :D Suggestions would be great as well :)

Passing out now ;D!

Kingdom Hearts FOTD pt. 2

I'm not sure I announced anything about this, but I am putting together a video game inspired makeup series. Some of you may know that I absolutely love video games; aside from work, it consumes nearly all my time :D This series won't necessarily by my attempt to look like a certain character, but rather the colour schemes of the game case, game characters & the game in general.

Since I liked my other Kingdom Hearts look so much, I decided to do another one. This time, I've based the colours on the new title for DS, KH Re:Coded. The shape I used for this was inspired by the lettering on the case, bold, open & flowy-like text. I don't do this look often & cutting the crease is still something I'm working on. I would love to hear your thoughts, tips & ideas! Anyway, here's the look:

What I used:
NYX White eyeshadow base on the entire lid, crease & brow
Ben Nye Sun Yellow lumiere creme colour on the middle of the lid
Sugarpill Tako eyeshadow on inner & outer corners and to highlight
Sugarpill Goldilux loose shadow on the middle of the lid, applied wet
MAC Smoulder eye kohl to cut the crease & on lower lash line
Sugarpill Bulletproof eyeshadow on crease & lower lash line
MAC All That Glitters eyeshadow above crease & pulled into the highlight

The next wave of looks for this series will be from Final Fantasy! I'll also take requests for this, too.
Now....back to gaming 8D

Kingdom Hearts inspired FOTD

Hi everyone! So it's been 2 months since my last post :( Ugh! Things for me have been all over the place. I really wanted to keep this blog active, but I've been surrounded with many family issues as well as my own. Part of my New Years Resolution is to really get this ball rollin' :) I have great intentions for this blog & hope to become muuuuch more active.

Anyway. Today I have a look that I am incredibly pleased to share. Some of you may know what a gigantic gamer I am. Generally, I'd rather game than even do makeup :P So I decided to sorta meld my two love interests together & created a makeup look.

I tried basing the look off the case of the games :) I generally never touch blue eyeshadow, but I really liked the outcome of this. Here's what I used;

Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base.
NYX jumbo eye pencil in Pots & Pans on the inner 2/3 of the ...lid
MAC Metalblu shitty ass metallic creme shadow on the outer lid, then i tossed it into the trash.
NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk applied under the brows & blended downward.

Sugarpill Tiara loose eyeshadow on the inner 2/3, applied wet
Sugarpill Royal Sugar loose eyeshadow on the outer lid + crease, applied wet
Sugarpill Afterparty eyeshadow on the crease
Sugarpill Bulletproof eyeshadow on the outer crease
MAC Clear Sky Blue pigment on & above the crease
Sugarpill Tako eyeshadow under the brows & heavily blended into clear sky blue
Tako eyeshadow also applied heavily into the inner "v" & pulled upward into the inner crease.
Random blue & silver eye liners from Cover Girl on lower lashline.
Bulletproof, Royal Sugar & Tiara all applied to the lower lashline.
Random Red Cherry lashes
Too Faced Lava Gloss eyeliner

I hope you enjoy this look! I will be trying my hardest to be more active on here & in terms of doing my makeup more often. I do want to continue doing a brand of the week/month thing & also want to post tonnnsss of reviews :)

Hope you all had a great holiday! <3
